Billy Beane is a former American baseball player working in the front office. With the first overall pick in the 1980 MLB Draft, the “New York Mets,” an American professional baseball team, we’re impressed with Beane’s skills and considered selecting him. Many companies thought he would enroll in “Stanford” rather than sign with a professional team, but he ultimately decided to join the “Mets,” earning a $125,000 signing bonus.
The Little Falls Mets, a minor league baseball team, then gave him a job that is an affiliate of the New York Mets.
