Sadly, he failed three drug tests and was suspended for a year. Joe, a power forward, averaged 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 15 blocks per game. Fortunately, he was allowed to play basketball in Division I once more when California State University signed him to Long Beach State after a total of 4 years.

Before moving to ELAC in 2019, the police arrested Joe Hampton for a breaking a red light. Additionally, the police also charged him with theft and bank fraud. However, thanks to his connections with coach John Mosley, he was detained for only 18 days and another 15 for community service.

Hampton is a forward on the Long Beach State men’s team, which competes in NCAA Division 1. In addition, during his first season at Long Beach State, he participated in every game and earned a team-high 17 starts. He finished third on the squad with 10.3 points per game and 4.1 rebounds.
