Early Life
Pastor Kent Christmas, in his late sixties, celebrates his birthday on June 21. His father was an American Indian missionary who reared him on reservations. Kent claims to have witnessed numerous spiritual conflicts at church when he was a child and God’s wonders.

“and so we witnessed a lot of manifestations and the powers of darkness, and yet we saw God accomplish beautiful things.”
Kent was baptized when he was nine years old. His religious upbringing is credited with his capacity to pray.
Kent Christmas is an evangelist and a preacher. He began preaching at the age of 17 and dedicated himself to evangelization at the age of 21. Christmas has been a full-time pastor for almost 50 years since then. He created Regeneration Nashville, a church in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007. Career
Kent was a self-taught pastor who began preaching when he was 17. At the age of 21, he became a full-time preacher.
Kent has been a full-time preacher for more than 50 years. His Facebook profile has over 74k likes as of November 2021, demonstrating that he has a sizable global fan base.
Kent tried multiple times to build his ministry after preaching for nearly 25 years around the United States and abroad. After hearing a word from God that said,
“Establish a church,”
Kent finally started the church.
“The next Sunday morning, with only four people in attendance, simple obedience to God’s word started. God, on the other hand, is unconcerned about where we begin. He’s curious as to where we’ll end up “

For years, he tried and failed to create and run a church. Finally, during his first service, he only preached to two individuals but persevered on the path God had shown him.
Kent and his wife, Candy Christmas, created Regeneration Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee, in November 2007 after years of struggle. Resting Place Church was the previous name of Regeneration Nashville. They did, however, change the church’s name after a decade. Kent is currently concentrating his efforts on growing the Church Body.

Candy Christmas, a Southern gospel singer who has appeared in over 60 Gaither Homecoming films, is Kent’s wife. Candy is also the founder of The Bridge Inc., a Nashville-based nonprofit that helps needy children, the homeless, and the working poor.
The couple marked their 34th wedding anniversary with a Facebook post on August 17, 2021. The couple’s three children are Joshua and Nicholas Christ, and a daughter, Jasmine Christmas Braden addition, the couple has four grandchildren.
Candy and Kent were rumored to be divorced by several fake sources, but it’s unclear whether they did.
Kent’s son, Joshua, was born in Washington State on April 26, 1978, to Pastor Kent Christmas and Patricia Taylor. Joshua was raised in a pastor’s home and developed a deep love for Jesus and His church from a young age. Josh and his parents moved to Nashville, Tennessee, when he was 16.
Joshua dedicated his life to serving God’s people. After graduating from culinary art school, he pursued his passion for food by becoming a formally trained chef. Joshua chose to use his skills as a cook for the homeless community in Nashville as an employee of The Bridge, Inc.
Joshua was a well-liked individual, and his passing was deeply regretted. While he will be greatly missed, his message of optimism and love for his family will be carried forward.
