Is Stefani Schaefer’s husband alive or not?
In 1998, Roger and Schaefer exchanged vows. Their two children together are Race, a boy, and Siena, a girl.
Sadly, in April 2012, her husband suffered a severe head injury after falling 12 feet from scaffolding while installing solar panels at a construction site. He was transported from Hillcrest Hospital to Metro Health Medical Center via helicopter. Roger survived, but his brain damage left him with short- and long-term memory problems. In addition, he suffered from aphasia, a brain disorder that makes it difficult to name people and things, and visual agnosia. This condition makes it impossible for him to recognize faces.
In April 2013, Schaefer claimed that even though her husband typically recalled his name, he sometimes had trouble identifying himself in photographs. Roger once answered that Schaefer was his mother when the doctor asked him to name her.
After her husband’s severe memory loss, Schaefer found it difficult to control her feelings as she faced the stress, grief, and uncertainty that followed. Schaefer wrote on April 27, 2019, that the traumatizing seven years that followed her husband’s tragic death had affected both her and her children. She penned,
“Our lives altered drastically on this day seven years ago. They never will be the same again. Even though he is still alive, we grieve for this lovely husband and father daily.”
She went on,
“This is not OUR Roger, as his mother constantly reminds us. This act of “letting go” while frantically attempting to “hang on” seems like a tug of war EVERY SINGLE DAY. It breaks us apart every day, but especially on April 27. It is sad and devastating. We often offer prayers to Roger’s heavenly spirit.”

Both of them had been wed to their partners for a considerable time. In reality, Mike and his wife had their two children, Marc and Kristi, in 1970.
